Inside the Creative Loop

Loops is an original lettering project developed through an iterative search for rhythm, proportion and final form. The lettering deliberately balances on the edge of legibility. Stylised letterforms, loops and ornamental extensions create a composition that first works as an image and, on closer inspection, reveals the word it contains.
¶ The project presents lettering as a process of pushing the limits of one’s own craft. A series of iterations led to the right arrangement, where letter shapes, proportions and a consistently executed formal idea build a distinctive, visually strong character.
